Sánchez Flores: “We have done what we could”

MADRID, 9 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Getafe’s coach, Quique Sánchez Flores, regretted the defeat (1-0) against Real Madrid, especially for conceding the goal from a corner, but stressed that his team held on in the game “until the end” against some players ” that fly across the field.

“We have done what we could. It is a team that, even if you want to go out, do not give you the legs or the sensations. It could have been more complicated conceding after five minutes, we have had energy and in the end it is a team that concedes very little”, said.

The ‘Geta’ coach pointed out that his team resisted and was involved in the game despite the fact that the Whites took the lead early through Militao. “Very little is said about how well Real Madrid defends. They are players who fly around the pitch. We were in the game until the end”, he stated.

Quique recognized in a press conference the importance of recovering Luis Milla and confessed that they lacked “having more chances”, in addition to regretting the goal. “The goal from a set piece hurts us a lot. It is an area that Ünal usually wins, they have blocked him well and we have also lost the mark. We don’t like to concede from a set piece,” he concluded.
