San Silvestre Vallecana runs towards sustainability with Polestar

This Tuesday, the Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana incorporated the Swedish vehicle brand Polestar as a new sponsor of the race, which will also implement a series of initiatives in its 2023 edition “that reflect its dedication to the preservation of the environment and responsibility social,” according to a statement.

“The Nationale-Nederlanden San Silvestre Vallecana will have, as a new sponsor, the Swedish brand of 100% electric premium vehicles Polestar, which has set itself the objective of improving society through design and technology to accelerate the adoption of 100% mobility. % sustainable,” the organization reported.

Thus, Polestar will make available to the San Silvestre Vallecana five Polestar 2s, the ‘fastback’ with up to 655 km of autonomy, which will lead the race to guide the participants to the finish line.

This last action is part of the initiatives that reinforce the “firm commitment” of the event “to sustainability”, and that “reflect its dedication to the preservation of the environment and social responsibility.”

Participants will run with a technical t-shirt manufactured by the Boomerang brand, from El Corte Inglés, with 100% recycled fabric. Likewise, the race implements a waste management program that promotes recycling and the reduction of single-use plastic materials. And recycling containers will be installed at certain points to promote reuse.
