MADRID, 8 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Atlético de Madrid announced this Friday the signing of Brazilian midfielder Samuel Lino, who arrives from Portuguese club Gil Vicente, and who signs a contract with the ‘mattress’ team for five seasons.
Lino, at 22 years old, has played for the Gil Vicente for the last three seasons, where he became a fundamental pillar of the Barcelos team, playing 99 official matches in which he scored 26 goals and distributed 5 assists, numbers that made him in an offensive reference to his club in particular and to the Portuguese championship in general.
According to the club, “Samuel Lino is a versatile footballer who can play his game on both wings, standing out for his speed and his great ability to face rival defenders,” he said of his new addition.
Thus, the Brazilian becomes the second reinforcement for the ‘Cholo’ Simeone squad, after the arrival of Belgian midfielder Alex Witsel for a season from Borussia Dortmund.
