MADRID, 31 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Villarreal player Salma Paralluelo is the main novelty of the 28-player pre-list offered this Tuesday by the Spanish women’s coach, Jorge Vilda, to prepare for the European Championship in England this summer, which will be held from July 6 to 31.
The Aragonese striker, European and World Under-17 champion, goes to the senior team for the first time and is part of a continuing list that includes eleven players from FC Barcelona, current champion of the Primera Iberdrola and the Copa de la Reina and runner-up of the Champions League.
Players such as Marta Cardona and Athenea del Castillo, two of the seven Madridistas in the squad, also received the call, while white teammates such as Claudia Zornoza, Maite Oroz and Nahikari García or the athletic Maitane López were left out.
Those summoned will meet at the Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas (Madrid) on Sunday, June 12, to begin preparations for the continental event. On June 25 they will face Australia at the Nuevo Colombino de Huelva in the first of the friendly matches that they will play before the tournament.
Later, at the end of June, before traveling to England, Vilda will give the final list of 23 internationals to play in the European Championship, so she will have to rule out five players.
