Sadio Mané is injured two weeks before the start of the World Cup

BERLIN, Nov. 8 (STATS Perform/dpa/EP) –

The Senegalese forward of Bayern Munich, Sadio Mané, left injured this Tuesday during the Bundesliga clash between Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen and set off the alarms in his country, leaving the pitch limping less than two weeks for the World Cup in Qatar to begin.

The African was substituted in the 21st minute of the match at the Allianz Arena, after receiving medical assistance on the pitch and later signaling to the bench that he could not continue. Mané, who was also involved in the first goal of the Munich team, will now have to go through different medical tests to estimate the extent of his injury.

Senegal’s first match in the World Cup will be against the Netherlands on November 21, so Mané will have little recovery time, if he can make it to the World Cup.
