A goal by Dani Rodríguez six minutes from the end tipped the balance for Mallorca against Sabadell that fell again in the bars as it happened in Vallecas. Mallorca, fought with the goal during the first two days, found that award thanks to its best second half and against Sabadell that played the last quarter of an hour with ten players due to the expulsion of Pierre Cornud, who saw two cards in just one minute.
Mallorca started stronger in the first half with internships on the left side but without Abdon, Lago Júnior and company making it out at all in front of Mackay's goal. Sabadell, who had their last signing Javi Ibiza in the center of the rear, went from less to more and midway through the first period they had timid attempts with two shots from Guruzeta and Heber Pena that went away. Both Manolo Reina and Ian Mackay were mere spectators.

In the second half, Mallorca took a step forward and soon Mackay avoided the 1-0 in two interventions, especially in a poisoned shot by Sastre. The only replica harlequinade was in a shot from Óscar Rubio that went wide. Antonio Hidalgo moved the entire bench and retracted lines especially after the expulsion of Pierre. At 84 ', a back pass from Stoichkov was holed by Dani rendering Mackay's stretch useless. The only option to score was Juan Hernández but Reina, in his only intervention, stopped without problems.
