Rummenigge comments on the situation of Thiago and Liverpool

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has confirmed Thiago Alcántara's intention to leave Bayern Munich. The general manager of the Bavarian club has indicated that they wanted to renew the exazulgrana, with a contract until 2021, however he would want to try his luck at another club after spending seven years in Germany.

A week ago, SportBild advanced the player's intentions and targeted Liverpool as a possible destination. However, Rummenigge has revealed that they have no intention of letting Thiago go for free and that they are not aware of any offer from the 'network' team.

“We have had no contact with Liverpool. However, if he wants to go there we will have to assume it. We are seriously negotiating with him, but he seems to want to try something new at the end of his career, ”Rummenigge said of Thiago's situation. “We don't want to lose it for free. I say this very clearly, ”added the former German soccer player.
