Real Madrid announced Friday the renewal of Spanish forward Rudy Fernández, who has signed a new contract for the next two seasons until June 30, 2022.
In this way, the captain of the Spanish team will continue playing until age 37 in the white team, with which he celebrates his ninth season. After a first and brief stage in 2011 by the lockout in the NBA, in the summer of 2012 he returned to Real Madrid and has remained there since then.
Rudy has been a fundamental piece during the successful era of the club under the hand of Pablo Laso and at this stage he has won two Euroleagues, five Leagues, five Copas del Rey, five Supercopa de España and an Intercontinental Cup.
This season, the Balearic, who will turn 35 in April and was the 'MVP' of the 2017-2018 Endesa League final, is averaging 8.3 points and 9.8 valuation in the Euroleague, and 5.3 points and 6.3 rating in the Endesa League.
