Ronaldinho declares about his entry to Paraguay with a false passport

Ronaldinho Gaúcho and his brother Roberto were transferred this Thursday to the Prosecutor's Office to give a statement about their entry into Paraguay with alleged false passports, after spending the night in police custody at the hotel where they were staying.

Both were led to testify to the Organized Crime Department, of the Public Ministry, from the Hotel Resort Yacht and Golf Club Paraguayo, in the city of Lambaré, outside Asunción, where on Thursday the former player planned to present a charity project.

Prosecutors appeared in the hotel last night and seized the passports of the two brothers and arrested a Brazilian who was with them, and who had allegedly provided them with the documents.

The documents were in the name of Ronaldo de Assis Moreira and Roberto de Assis Moreira. The former Barcelona player and his brother arrived on Wednesday afternoon at the international airport of Asunción and passed all the controls without problems.

Interior Ministry sources told the media that the Identification Department informed Migrations that passports were not registered in the system, so there is an open investigation.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, the two brothers declared that they went to Asunción invited by Nelson Belotti, owner of the Il Palazzo casino. They also mentioned that the former footballer had planned to present on Thursday in Asunción the free medical assistance program “Mobile health of girls and boys”, a mobile mobile care for children in Paraguay that is being carried out by a charitable foundation. In that event Ronaldinho was also going to present his book “Genius of life”.
