Rodríguez Uribes accompanies the Spanish team in his debut in the Davis Cup

The president of the Superior Sports Council (CSD), José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, is located in Biel (Switzerland) to support the Spanish team in the first qualifying round of the Davis 2025 Cup against Switzerland.

The selection directed by David Ferrer is measured this Saturday and Sunday against the Helvetic team with motivation. Rodríguez Uribes will witness the two individual meetings on Saturday, which Pedro Martínez and Roberto Carballés against Dominic Stricker and Jerome Kym, respectively.

The president of the CSD will also be with the Spanish team on the decisive day of Sunday. The competition program will open the commitment of doubles, in which Pedro Martínez will form a couple with Jaume Munar, and will continue with the other two individual matches. In case of winning in Switzerland, the Spanish team would be measured in September as host with the winner of the tie between Denmark and Serbia.

The Secretary of State for Sports was recently in Turin (Italy) at the World Winter World Games, in which Spain demonstrated its high level with the conquest of 13 medals -4 golds, 7 silver and 2 bronzes-, and also accompanied In Oslo to the ‘Hispanos’ in the main round of the Handball World Championship.
