Rodri, Ballon d'Or of the Club World Cup

MADRID, 22 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Manchester City's Spanish midfielder Rodrigo Hernández was awarded the Ballon d'Or of the Club World Cup, which the English team won this Friday with a 4-0 win over Fluminense.

Rodri, who was already MVP of the Champions League, also became the best of the World Cup that ended in Jeddah. The Spaniard led City to its fifth title of 2023 and the first Club World Cup in the club's history.

Kyle Walker, a Manchester City teammate, won the Silver Ball, and Jhon Arias, from Fluminense, the Bronze. Rodri could not finish the final due to a tough challenge in the 70th minute, for which he ended up asking for a change although he came out on his own.
