Rodolfo Sancho, from prison to hospital: the actor goes to a medical center after visiting his son

Days of maximum tension for the actor and his son, in preventive detention since he confessed to having murdered the Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta in Thailand last August. Rodolfo Sancho He landed in the Asian country last Tuesday to visit his son and accompany him to a hearing at the Koh Samui Court, which was finally postponed. The father of Daniel He is taking advantage of his stay on the island to carry out various procedures and this Friday he went to the hospital.

Just after visiting his son Daniel in Koh Samui prison, Rodolfo Sancho got into a car with tinted windows with his two legal advisors in Thailand. They went to a nearby hospital, where the actor’s companions entered while he waited outside. More than an hour later, they came out with bags full of medicine, according to YAS.

It is unknown if the medicines were for Daniel or for Rodolfo himself, who the tension of the last few days could have taken its toll. This weekend he will be able to rest, since the prison does not allow visitors on Saturdays or Sundays, so he will not be able to see his son again until next Monday.

Meanwhile, Daniel’s Spanish defense continues to work on the strategy to free him from the death penalty of premeditated murder, as the Prosecutor’s Office claims occurred in the case of Sancho and Edwin Arrieta. They also accuse the Spanish chef of hiding the body and appropriating official documentation. The charges were going to be officially presented last Thursday but the hearing, as we said, was postponed due to the lack of a translator present in the room, a request from the accused: “I feel unprotected.”

It will be next November 13 when Daniel moves back to Court. The Prosecutor’s Office will read the charges and, as his defense has advanced, will only admit the crimes of reckless homicide and concealment of a corpse, both punishable by life imprisonment. To this end, Daniel’s Spanish defense has two Spanish witnesses, a forensic expert, a psychiatrist and a criminologist who will support his position. Both the lawyer Marcos García-Montes and Rodolfo Sancho continue to look for a Thai lawyer to defend Daniel in the process, since the first attempts after the resignation of Khun Anan have not been fruitful: no one wants to take charge of such a complex and high-profile case. .
