Rocío Carrasco rubs her hands with her mother’s museum: the grassland that has already entered

The Rocío Jurado museum finally opened its doors on July 7. The inauguration was carried out by the Chipiona City Council and Rocío Carrasco, who was finally able to make her mother’s dream come true after more than ten years of inconvenience. Months later, we can already talk about figures.

The reception of the museum has been a complete success. Not only the chipioneros went en masse to the museum dedicated to the figure of The Greatest. Displacements from other corners of Spain have not been lacking. And it is that Rocío Jurado is not so easy to forget: “They have come from many parts of Spain, also residents of the area who do not want to lose detail. It is very exciting,” they tell Week.

In addition, those who have already walked through its walls will have a good reason to do so again, since the objects inside are not permanent: “They will be incorporated because the opening is recent, but it has had a good response and many suggestions, so New things will be added.” So far, the box office has been very good. They slip the weekly that between 300 and 400 people pass through the museum per day, which is equivalent to 2,400 euros at the box office. In total since its opening: 150,000 euros.

Throughout these years there has been much speculation about the reasons why the museum dedicated to the great Rocío Jurado, who died in June 2006, did not open its doors. If the family quarrels, economic matters… Rociito reiterated in Save me that the problems have been “administrative management, of no other type.”

The inauguration arrives in the middle of a hurricane of his second docuseries, in which he puts the members of his media family, with whom finally and as expected, he did not count for his opening. The agreement between the City Council and Rocío also generated controversy in the last months prior to the expected inauguration.
