MADRID, 28 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Former FC Barcelona player Vítor Borba Ferreira, Rivaldo, said on Thursday that his wish, after the dismissal of Ronald Koeman as a culé coach, is for his former teammate Xavi Hernández to become the new manager of the Blaugrana team.
“After the departure of Koeman, I would like very much that Xavi Hernández had the opportunity to be the new coach of FC Barcelona,” wrote the Brazilian Rivaldo on his Instagram account.
“I have a lot of confidence in him to get the club out of this situation,” added the former Brazilian international, who accompanied his words with a collage of photos of him with Xavi Hernández in their time as FC Barcelona players.
Barça fired Ronald Koeman at dawn this Thursday after the defeat against Rayo Vallecano (1-0) on matchday 11 of the Santander League. The culés occupy the ninth position in the table and add three points of nine possible in ‘Champions’.
