The Spanish rail transport company Renfe is the new official train of Getafe CF until June 30, 2024, an agreement so that the Madrid club can make its sports trips on the company's AVE and Long Distance trains.
“Renfe and Getafe Football Club have signed a collaboration agreement under which the railway company becomes the Official Train of this LaLiga EA Sports team throughout this season. The agreement will be valid until June 30, 2024 and “Once it ends, it can be extended with the agreement of both parties,” Renfe said in a statement.
The Madrid club will use the train as a sustainable means of transportation for its sporting trips, as do other first and second division football clubs, basketball clubs in the Endesa League and the LEB Oro, as well as the men's and women's national teams of football, basketball, handball or rugby, among other sports.
The conditions agreed in this agreement are the availability of using Renfe AVE and Long Distance trains, in which the Madrid club will be able to make its trips, according to the calendar that it will have previously provided to the company.
