Referees increased stoppage time by 29 percent this season

The CTA presents the new protocol on public incidents

The referees increased the discount time by 29 percent in the matches of the current 2021-22 season of LaLiga Santander, reported the president of the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA), Luis Medina Cantalejo, at a press conference in the City of the RFEF Football in Las Rozas (Madrid).

Medina Cantalejo, together with Carlos Clos Gómez, director of the VAR Project, and Alberto Undiano Mallenco, member of the Technical Commission, took stock in the Villalonga Hall of the City of Football of the actions of the referees in the First Division during the first two thirds of the season.

Undiano Mallenco has valued the effort of the referees to recover the real time of the game and pointed out that the discount time in the matches has been increased by 29 percent.
