Real Sociedad, Osasuna and Getafe are close to saying goodbye to Alavés in the Copa del Rey

Sevilla had a good second half against Olot

On Monday, round of 32 draw

MADRID, 6 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The second round of the Copa del Rey left more suffering this Thursday for the LaLiga EA Sports teams, such as Real Sociedad, Osasuna and Getafe, who reached the round of 32 sweating, while Sevilla beat Olot and Deportivo (1-3) Alavés fell to CD Minera on penalties.

This is how the week is going for the Primeras, with Espanyol, Villarreal, Girona and Alavés already eliminated and many more ties on the limit. In a night session this Thursday, the Basque team joined those elite victims in the debut of Eduardo Coudet on their bench and against Club Deportiva Minera of the Second RFEF on penalties.

In his debut, the Argentine coach collided with the faith and defense of the Cartagena team, which took the lead twice against Alavés, the second in extra time. Sandji Baradji, who had just entered the field, put CD Minera heading to the next round, but a handball, expulsion and penalty appeared to make it 2-2 for Kike García. Goalkeeper Fran Martínez then excelled in the shootout to knock down the ‘Glorioso’.

Meanwhile, Osasuna came back (2-3) against AD Ceuta, a Primera RFEF team that had a 2-0 lead until the 84th minute. From there, the ‘rojillo’ turnaround came to the match, after the entry of starters on the field. Against Budimir, Raúl García and an own goal from Carlos Redruello, who had made it 1-0 for Ceuta, gave the ticket to an almost miraculous Osasuna.

Getafe also narrowly avoided the setback, although they did not escape extra time or penalties, and in the shootout they found a heroic Jiri Letacek, who stopped Orihuela’s shots. At the Los Arcos Municipal Stadium there were no goals and ‘Geta’ had very few chances, the best with a penalty at the beginning of the second half that Bertug missed. Afterwards, it was Orihuela who came close to scoring, forcing José Bordalás to make changes.

Nabil Aberdin was able to win it for the Madrid team, but extra time came and then some penalties that Milla, Yellu and Iglesias did not forgive. Letacek became great against the Valencian Second RFEF team. For its part, Real Sociedad suffered until the 120th minute to win (0-1) against Conquense, also from the fourth category of Spanish football, despite finishing almost without defenses.

Imanol Alguacil overturned a Real that was out of position at the end and very close to conceding the tie in the last moment of extra time on a clear chance by José Álvarez. In the first minute of that extra half hour it was Brais Méndez who made it 0-1 for a Real team that did not give up the Cup although the second round was sold very dearly.

Although they don’t have it all together in the League, Sevilla sealed their presence in Monday’s draw with some comfort, although they had a good scare in the first half. Álvaro Fernández saved a penalty against Olot and shortly after Gonzalo Montiel converted another for the Andalusians and the 0-1 with which they reached the break.

In the second act, the entry of Stanis Idumbo improved García Pimienta’s team. Sevilla’s counters and punch made the difference and Juanlu Sánchez and Kelechi Iheanacho, who already scored a double in the previous round of the Cup, sealed the Andalusian pass.
