Real Oviedo vindicates itself by winning Las Palmas

Real Oviedo added three vital points in their fight for permanence against Las Palmas (2-1), a team that cut distances in the second half but could end up falling at Tartiere by more than one goal difference if the Blues had taken advantage his chances at the end of the match.

The first play with danger of the shock was for the locals, who were about to surprise Valles after a robbery by Luismi and a shot by Bárcenas in the front, but the ball went out when hitting a defender.

A shot on goal by Rubén Castro – focused and at the hands of Lunin – and a dangerous shot looking for the opposing squad of Narváez were the two aftershocks of the visitors in an encounter in which the first hour was dominated by blue.

An offside game canceled a penalty on Bárcenas de Valles, but minutes later the blue team ended up going ahead with a goal from Ortuño after controlling a long shot from Tejera with the chest and beating the rival goalkeeper.

The VAR reviewed the action for possible hand of Yecla in control but ended up giving the goal good, which went up to the scoreboard and forced Las Palmas to try to find more area than in the entire first half with hardly any occasions.

After the restart, Oviedo went out again looking for the opposite area and found the goal in an action that Grippo headed first, tries to finish off Borja later and manages to convert both Sangalli ultimately entering from behind and drawing an unstoppable cross shot.

Las Palmas cut distances with 20 minutes to go, in a cross from Pedri's right that ends in the area, with Grippo on the ground and Luismi trying to clear a ball inside the small area that he ended up introducing in his goal by preventing him from pushing it Rubén Castro.

The team of Pepe Mel took a step forward and put Oviedo in their area based on electrical actions by Narváez and Rubén Castro who put the blue back in trouble but without materializing in clear goal actions.

A run by Coris on the left could have been the third goal for the local team, the second in Sangalli's private account, but the first shot from San Sebastian was repelled by Valles and the second, by the header, the post.

Berjón's departure also served to touch both the tranquility in the discount but, after a measured assistance from the blue '10' in the race, Rodri's subsequent shot, only before the goalkeeper, ended up in the hands of a Valles very attentive to the move.

Las Palmas left without points from a Tartiere in which Oviedo, after a long-suffering match by Ziganda's, managed to get out of the descent at the expense of what their direct rivals do: Numancia and Albacete.
