Real Oviedo take the derby in El Molinón

Real Oviedo took a derby with little showy football in a match that was controlled for the most part and in which Sporting did not measure up.

In the first half hour, Oviedo performed better on the field, with more convincing plays, while Djukic's were uncomfortable. Only Murilo created danger at the end, although Unai Medina was the only one who made an auction after an action by the band. Tejera then fired a dangerous shot in the 40th minute, but went high. In added time Djuka made a shot that could open the scoring.

The second part started without changes. Sangalli had an opportunity after three minutes with a strong shot from the right that could have been a goal. Shortly after, Manu García, with his head, finished, but Lunin stopped. And then, Djuka made Arribas a hat with which he was about to score.

Oviedo looked mordant in attack when giving entry to Borja Sánchez and Ortuño, while Sporting put Pablo Pérez and Álvaro Vázquez on the field with the same purpose. But it was the blue that hit the spot, because Borja Sánchez himself stole a ball in the center of the field and in a personal move, with a wall with Ortuño, he beat Mariño.

Later, Babin with his head beat Lunin, but the referee, through the Var, canceled the goal of the sportinguista.
