Real Madrid celebrates its Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assemblies this Saturday

The Board of Directors of Real Madrid will bring together the delegate members this Saturday in the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assemblies that will be held, in which the new budgets will be examined and approved, they will vote on whether to authorize more financing for the new Santiago Bernabéu, they will elect José Martínez Sánchez ‘Pirri’ as honorary president and it will be decided whether to call Real Madrid City ‘Ciudad Real Madrid Florentino Pérez’.

The different Assemblies will be held in person and online, in the Valdebebas basketball pavilion. The Ordinary General Assembly is held at 9:00 a.m., in the first call, and at 10:00, in the second call.

According to the agenda, the head of Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez, will open the Ordinary General Assembly with the president’s report. This will give way to the examination and approval of the Budget Settlement, the Report, the Balance Sheet and the Profit and Loss Account of the entity, as well as those consolidated with the investee company, corresponding to the 2022/2023 financial year.

The examination and approval of the Consolidated Budget of Income and Expenses and the Activities Project for the current year will also be carried out, before the proposal of social contributions for the next academic year. The Ordinary General Assembly will close with requests and questions.

Next, the Extraordinary General Assembly will be held, which will begin with the appointment of former Madrid player José Martínez Sánchez ‘Pirri’, winner of a European Cup, 10 Leagues and 4 Copas del Rey, as honorary president of Real Madrid.

In addition, the members will decide whether to authorize the club’s Board of Directors to go into debt again through new financing to continue with the remodeling works of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, now in its final stretch. The partners will know the representative’s proposal, what its percentage is and the amount.

Finally, on the proposal of 1,000 delegate members, in accordance with article 28 of the club’s statutes, a vote will be taken on whether the Real Madrid City in Valdebebas will be renamed ‘Real Madrid Florentino Pérez City’.
