Adjusted Real Madrid Victoria (96-91) over the culés on day 27 of the Euroleague
MADRID, 27 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Real Madrid has won this Thursday by 96-91 to FC Barcelona in a match corresponding to day 27 of the regular Euroleague season, with leading role of its eaves Alberto Abalde, Dzanan Musa and Mario Hezonja, in order to lift the mood of the white team after its disappointment in the final of the recent Copa del Rey.
Nor did Barça sing to this European event in the Movistar Arena, having fallen even before-finals-in that cupo tournament. And after the record of selections, the Blaugranas were worse because of Juan Núñez’s injury, reducing the rotation the base position in view of a key duel in the fight to enter the ‘play-in’.
However, Tomas Satoransky managed at the beginning by guiding a Barça who had a favorable 11-18 and that, despite a triple side of Facundo Campazzo, he replied with another of Jabari Parker from a corner, rebound included in the board. Mario Hezonja then replied with another distant basket that put on 19-21 at a and a half minute of setting up the first quarter.
Then Andrés Happy and Bruno Fernando entered to dose Facu Campazo and Walter Tavares, which the Angoleño pivot took advantage since Usman Garuba had floated in his attacks. Yes, the Azuqueca player of Henares in defense had worked, but Fernando gave greater packaging to the low post, where he understood well with Alberto Abalde.
Thanks to this, the aim of Campazzo, the pupils of Chus Mateo matched the score, but Joel Parra scored on the horn a medium distance shot from the side and placed 23-25 when 10 ‘exhausted. The beginning of the second period was injured by the arbitral table and the players contributed to the plumb pace with errors.
With two fertile counterattacks, first of Abalde and after hezonja, the meringues turned the contest (28-27). Although Chimezie Metu sneaked into a triple front to cut the bad streak culé, Parra could not repeat from the perimeter in the next attack, although Joan Peñarroya’s pupils took their short advantages hurriedly (30-34, 34-38).
The local team was missing weapons up and Dzanan Musa stretched with a triplazo that returned the tie (40-40), a lance followed by a foul in Parker attack in attack for surrounding a rival with his arm. There were at least two possessions before the break, that despite every muse was missing two free throws and giving the last to Barça.
The culé slate worked, in that way, so that Justin Anderson almost on the horn achieved a triple to the Remoker and send everything to changing rooms with 40-43. In the resumption, the visitors bet on the positional game again, accusing more counterattacks of a Real Madrid that continued to trust Abalde as a clutch to change their marches.
The mobility of the Ferrolano forward oxygenated in its own hoop and threatened that of Barça. Not surprisingly, Peñarroya requested dead time after the third personal lack of Álex Abrines, having accused that the roles do not fit each defensive marking. There Youssoupha Fall and Darío Brizuela were lost, with little contribution both in a template of Arreones.
They were Anderson and Parker the referents of the Barca team, which was losing 61-45 to 2:45 to finish the third act, rebuild a triple of Abalde. He had set that Ferrolano basket with the nth assistance from Campazzo in this Euroleague, a resource as common in Real Madrid as waiting for Musa and Hezonja to be rebelled alone.
The Bosnium and the Croatian, perhaps the most decisive eaves couple of this competition, dressed two blows to Barça with two triples that stretched the white rent (69-58). Metu kept his team alive from the personnel and later with a robbery that he transformed into an easy basket to close the third quarter in 70-67.
Peñarroya barely trusted Willy Hernangómez, so the Catalan team opted in the fourth and final period for loading Metu of responsibilities. External launch and defense on Fernando under the hoop, double task for the Nigerian of California. Wider was the rotation of Chus Mateo, which arranged double base with Feliz and Sergio Llull.
Between them they gave flight to Hezonja, author of another triple galled by the stands of the pavilion (80-72). Despite two Croatian ruling in two shots from beyond the arch, Barça had a dependence on a meu that spent a lot of fuel. Parra gave him relief, established 82-79 to only 3:41 from the conclusion and immediately caught a vital defensive rebound.
In the continued play, Parker was wrong a release, but Anderson was the object of foul and turned his two free throws. Campazzo responded to keep the advantage, although in front of Parra, he continued motivated and approached his team to a point (84-83), although he paid his excess of impetus with a foul in attack when he entered the hoop and could seal the comeback.
Two Llull free throws placed the +3 (86-83), which Parker neutralized with a triple to 1:18 of the final horn. Campazzo served one of his usual rations of skill under the rival board to put the 88-86 and Metu tried with a triple in the second instance, which did not cast and whose rebound took hezonja, without being attentive to that Parra was behind.
The former Badalona Joventut stole that ball, but Parker and Tavares on the parquet disputed him without contemplations and forced a jump between two, who won Real Madrid to set up a rapid offensive. Abalde, a foul object, led his subsequent free throws (90-86).
In the 33.2 that reflected the clock still to consume, Barça tried to the desperate to put a triple that gave him air, but he opens first and then got out with their unorthodox releases. The brooch to victory seemed a matter of Musa and Hezonja with respective free throws, although a triple side of Parra gave emotion to the outcome.
3.8 For exhausting in the stopwatch and Abalde drawing from the band from the opposite field, after dead time. Metu was quick to Hezonja, who turned the first free kick with suspense and the second with the greatest margin. Without more scares, the merengue painting sealed its victory and was located with the same 14-13 balance as Barça in its search for the ‘play-in’.
