There were no surprises in the squad list that Espanyol made public this afternoon, during their trip to Madrid to play this Sunday at 16:15 against Rayo Vallecano. There are four notable absences, already known, since all of them were withdrawn in the Cup. Álvaro Vadillo, Óscar Gil, David López (who had a knee operation) and Nany Dimata they stay in Barcelona. The Valencian coach takes all the available first team players plus the third goalkeeper, Joan García, who debuted in the Cup on Wednesday.
The list is headed by two players who return to Vallecas, which was their home until Espanyol crossed their paths. Adrián Embarba became the captain of the Madrid club, where he played 196 official matches, and then came to the Parakeet club at a rate of ten million in January 2020. Without yet making his debut in the competition, the winger will try to recover the sensations and performance that he always awoke in Vallecas.
Along with him, Raúl de Tomás, who played his best games with the strip until his arrival at Espanyol. He also arrived in January 2020 but after passing through Benfica, a club in which he did not catch on. This same week the forward vindicated the effort and courage of Espanyol to sign him for 22 million.
The summoned list is made up of Oier Olazábal, Joan García, Diego López, Miguel Llambrich, Aleix Vidal, Adrià Pedrosa, Dídac Vilá, Fernando Calero, Leandro Cabrera, Sergi Gómez, Sergi Darder, Keidi Bare, Manu Morlanes, Fran Mérida, Yangel Herrera, Óscar Melendo, Javi Puado , Nico Melamed, Wu Lei, Adrián Embarba, RdT and Loren Morón.
