Raúl Fernández leaves the French Grand Prix

MADRID, 12 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish MotoGP rider Raúl Fernández (Aprilia) will not compete in the French Grand Prix, the fifth round of the Motorcycle World Championship, after suffering pain in his right arm, which he had to undergo surgery last week, during the first free practice in Le Mans.

The Spaniard tested his arm during the first MotoGP free practice session and suffered discomfort after only three laps, so he will focus on recovering from compartment syndrome surgery on his right arm.

Fernández underwent surgery on May 4 to solve the ailments he faced during the Spanish Grand Prix, held in Jerez. He will now have three weeks off to try to recover for the Italian Grand Prix.
