“Ramadan is part of my life, I feel good when I fast”

Karim Benzematop scorer in the Spanish league with 24 goals, gave an interview to the magazine Esquire in which he explained his great moment of form during this 2021-2022 season. What’s more, the Real Madrid striker analyzed how fasting for the start of the month of Ramadan affects his body as a high-performance professional: “It has no impact. Ramadan is part of my life and my religion makes Ramadan an obligation. For me, it is very important and I feel good when I fast.”.

Benzema also explained in the magazine that he sees himself playing football for some more time. “Soccer is my passion. So as long as I love football, and it remains my passion, I will be motivated by it. The day football is no longer my passion, I’m going to stop.” At 34, the Frenchman ends his contract with Real Madrid at the end of the 2022-2023 campaign.
