DUSSELDORF (ALEMANIA), 10 Dic. (dpa/EP) –
Norwegian Erling Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola, has assured that his client will finish the season at Borussia Dortmund and that he will probably “this summer or the next” go to Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona or Manchester City.
“It could be next summer or maybe the following summer. But there is a good chance that Erling will be leaving this summer,” Raiola said in an interview with German broadcaster Sport1 on Friday. “He can and will take the next step. Bayern, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City – those are the great clubs he could join!” He added.
“City have won the Premier League five times in recent years, much more than -Manchester-United. We all knew that the time to leave Borussia Dortmund would come,” continued the Italian representative.
Haaland, 21, came to Dortmund in January 2020 with a contract until 2024. The Norwegian has scored 51 goals in as many Bundesliga games and 23 goals in 19 Champions League games for Salzburg and Dortmund.
Raiola, representative of the Swede Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the Belgian Romelo Lukaku or the Frenchman Paul Pogba, said he would talk to Dortmund about the future of Haaland during the winter, but does not expect a quick decision, much less a transfer in January. “There will be no decision in winter,” he said.
Raiola said he had great respect for Dortmund, who last summer decided not to sell the player for a large sum. “A sale last summer would have been better financially for them, but they looked at the well-being of the club, the fans, the team and the success. I have a lot of respect for this decision. Dortmund have balls!” He concluded.
