Queen Letizia’s ‘made in Spain’ sailor look to say goodbye to Princess Leonor in Cádiz

The Princess Eleanor has been the undisputed protagonist this Saturday, January 11, as she has left the port of Cádiz aboard the ‘Elcano’ along with the rest of her fellow midshipmen to begin a journey that will last six months and in which they will visit eight countries. However, the Queen Letiziawho presided over the farewell ceremony together with Philip VIhas also attracted many attention.

For this special occasion, the consort has selected a two-piece navy blue suit, a clear nod to the Navy uniform. Doña Letizia’s look, from the brand Woman from El Corte Inglés, was made up of a jacket with structured shoulders, straight-cut pants and a white blouse with an elegant bow at the neck by Carolina Herrera.

To complement her style, the mother of Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía has opted for black moccasins, as well as a golden floral headband, decorated with gold leaves and small pearls. Her earrings, from the Mallorcan brand Isabel Guarch, are another nod to the seafaring tradition, since their geometric design with eight points represents the Balearic and Mediterranean winds.

Queen Letizia’s tears

When Princess Leonor met with the rest of her companions to take office (moments before the farewell), Queen Letizia appeared especially emotional, not holding back her tears and throwing a kiss to her daughter. For his part, the monarch took out his mobile phone to immortalize this emotional farewell.
