Christian Pulisic seems to be getting back on track, after an eventful season in which, once again, injuries have been a factor for him to be away from the courts and after scoring a double in the match against Crystal Palace in the Premier League, the American declared himself ready to face the return of the Champions League quarterfinals, in which Chelsea will seek to seal their ticket to the semifinals, against Porto.
After his outstanding performance of the weekend, the North American team commented that he is in good shape for the duel to be played this Tuesday at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium, to which the London team will arrive with a two-goal advantage achieved in the first leg.
“Personally I feel very good. I'm happy to play and help the team in whatever way I can. It was nice to be on the scoreboard and I feel very strong right now. It has not been an easy season, there have been many ins and outs due to injuries, but I feel healthy and strong at the moment, ”Pulisic told the Chelsea website.
For his part, the Chelsea coach, Thomas Tuchel, also highlighted the physical form of the former Borussia Dortmund footballer and commented that it can be decisive for Chelsea to define their series against Porto and achieve their ticket to the semifinals in the continental tournament.
“His physical condition is always important because he has a great impact with sprinting and intensity at the highest level.. It is one of your greatest strengths, but you need to feel safe and calm mentally. So it can be a huge weapon for us. I feel like he becomes stronger and more confident. It can be a deciding factor with your speed, ability to dribble and reach the area from dangerous situations. Hopefully I can have that impact. It is our job to push him there ”, highlighted the German coach.

The rebirth of Pulisic
Christian Pulisic recorded the worst goalless drought of his career, accumulating almost four months without scoring, until he appeared during the friendly match between USMNT and Northern Ireland, then scored against West Bromwich Albion and extended his scoring streak, scoring a pair of goals in Chelsea's win over Crystal Palace.
