PSG lose to Nice before visiting the Bernabéu

Mbappé did not play due to suspension and Delort made it 1-0, a great goal in 88′

MADRID, 5 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Paris Saint-Germain encountered defeat this Saturday (1-0) in their visit to Nice on matchday 27 of Ligue 1, three points that do not complicate their wide league leadership but a discreet performance before facing the round of 16 Champions League final against Real Madrid, on Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men did not have Mbappé due to suspension, and with Messi, Neymar and Di María they were unable to harm a serious Nice team, second in the table with 49 points to the 62 of the Parisians. The local defensive performance was without fail and in the desperate attempt of PSG, Nice took advantage of their move to the front with 1-0.

In the 88th minute, Andy Delort signed a great goal in a great local against, finishing off a distant but precise cross from Stengs early on the far post. The striker Justin Kluivert also had a great game, in which Neymar ended up pitted against Amine Gouiri because he did one of his tricks with the final whistle.

Pochettino’s team thus suffered its second league defeat in the last three games, three in total, before facing Real Madrid in the Champions League. PSG will play with the 1-0 advantage that they got in the first leg against the whites, on February 15, with a goal from Mbappé in the 94th minute after a great individual play.
