PSG formalizes Jesé's contract resolution

PSG has made the resolution of Jesé Rodríguez's contract official a few minutes ago. The Real Madrid youth squad, who ended his contract in June 2021, had played only 22 minutes spread over two games this season and did not have the trust of Thomas Tuchel. Both parties have reached an amicable agreement to separate their paths.

“At 27 years old, the one from Las Palmas arrived in Paris in 2016. With the PSG jersey, Jesé has played 18 games and has registered two goals in all competitions, winning a Ligue 1 (2020), a French Cup ( 2017) and a French Super Cup (2017). PSG wishes Jesé the best in his professional career ”, reads the statement issued by PSG.

Since landing at PSG, Jesé Rodríguez has not been able to return to his best level. Neither the assignments to teams like Las Palmas, Stoke City, Betis or Sporting de Portugal have allowed him to achieve a consistency that he only showed at Real Madrid before his ligament injury. One of the reasons why PSG has decided to terminate his contract has been his high salary, since he was receiving € 420,000 net per month, an unaffordable figure in current times.
