Almería has made official this Thursday what was an open secret: the promotion has caused the Almeria entity to execute the purchase for Pozo. Specifically, the UDA has paid Sevilla three million euros, signing the Sevillian winger until 2027 and thus becoming the player of the Indál squad with the longest contract. Thus, the two field players who have played the most minutes this season in the league will continue, the case of Pozo himself (3176) and Babic (3174). The former Sevilla player has appeared in 39 league games, scoring three goals and giving four assists.
Pozo has said goodbye to Sevilla in a letter published on social networks: “I say goodbye to what has been my home for the last 15 years, and which has seen me grow, train personally and reach the dream that I have always had since I was a child: being a professional footballer in this madness that we all call football […]. I have no words to describe what it has meant for me to be able to debut with the team of my heart, to have shared a dressing room with my idol (D. Jesús Navas) since I was a child, to have been a participant in achieving a title such as UEFA Europe League… and so on a thousand other things […]. As our anthem says: “I will be a Sevilla player until death…”.”. Almería, for its part, highlights its “great performance” and its “versatility”.
Almería already announced the Babic and Pozo call options, mandatory in case of promotion, and the renewals of Ely and Centelles, who had expired their contractual relationship with the rojiblanco club, as well as the fact that Makaridze, Buñuel and Monte will not renew. Now, of the group of players whose contract was ending, the Carriço situation remains to be resolved. The Portuguese center-back signed for one year, extending the link in case of promotion. With Babic, Chumi, Ely and one or two more center backs to sign, Carriço will take the exit door, having to reach an economic agreement with the Indálica entity. The predisposition is good between both parties and even from the offices of the Vega de Acá it has been proposed to him to continue in Almería itself in another facet in case he chooses to hang up his boots.
Arnau Sola will come and go
Almería will sign Arnau Sola, a 19-year-old left-back who has finished his contract with Barcelona B. In fact, the footballer, still of youth age in the season that is now ending, has already said goodbye to the Barça club. He will arrive at the UDA as a free agent and, except for a major surprise, he will leave on loan to have minutes either in a Second Division team or in the First or Second RFEF, and it is that the Almeria entity does not want it to be bench meat in the Second Division. An under-19 international, Almería is about to close an agreement with Eleven Talent Group, its representation agency.
