MADRID, 16 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Multipurpose Pavilion of Gondomar, in Porto (Portugal), will once again host the ‘Final Four’ of the women’s futsal Eurocup, as decided this Thursday by the UEFA Executive Committee after a meeting held at its headquarters in Nyon (Switzerland ).
The continental event will be held from March 25 to 27, 2022 and will bring together the same applicants as the first European Championship in history held in 2019: Spain, which will already attend as current champion, Portugal, Ukraine and Russia.
Gondomar was the venue where Spain won the only European Championship played to date after beating the Portuguese players in the final (0-4). Furthermore, UEFA has decided that “after the competition was postponed for a year due to the crisis generated by COVID-19 (…) the tournament will be played again in the 2022/23 season”.
