The coach of Royal SaragossaJuan Ignacio Martinez’JIM‘, he pointed out that for the match against Lugo this Friday his team has to turn the La Romareda stadium “into a happy day for the fans” given that it will mean the farewell at home this season.
“For this game I ask that we have the attitude we had against Oviedo. Then whatever happens in the game can happen but with that attitude and that predisposition everyone has to feel satisfied and happy,” he stressed at a press conference.
The Zaragoza coach explained that for the match against the Galician team they cannot look for excuses in terms of having the best possible attitude on the pitch.
“The fans have suffered a lot this season and we have to give them joy. We have to compete like we did in Oviedo against a rival who was playing for promotion. The team knew how to overcome the situation and looked for victory at all times. It is what it is to face Lugo”, he pointed out.
In this regard, he recalled that the important thing is “the collective image as a team” because the last one that was left, against Alcorcón (0-3), in the Zaragoza stadium was not good. “We cannot let our guard down and we have to compete to the death. I am super convinced of the attitude that the team is going to have. Yesterday we had a meal with the entire squad and that energy has to be transferred to the match”, he underlined.
About the rival, JIM has valued the fact of facing a team “difficult to beat and that does not lose”.
The coach from Alicante has complained that after having played last Monday his team will have to play this Friday and has considered that situation as “a lack of consideration” towards Real Zaragoza, although he is aware that it is due to the issue of the television audiences
