He came to Juventus in 2001 from Parma. During his time at Juventus, he formed one of the most powerful defenders on the European continent together with Zambrotta, Ferrara, Cannavaro, Pessotto, Tudor, Montero and Birindelli. With black and white he won two 'Scudettos' and managed to reach the final of the Champions League in the 2002/03 season where he was defeated by Milan. He played a total of 165 games as a Juventus player.

When Juventos were relegated to Serie B, the French defender signed with FC Barcelona in 2006. The Barça club paid 19 million to take over the services of the French defender. His time at the club was marked by the plague of injuries and by the achievement of the Spanish Super Cup in 2006. As a Barça player he played 58 games in two seasons.

He went from Bari to Juventus in the 1998/99 season. In the whole of Turin he managed to win two leagues. After the Juventus administrative scandal and its subsequent relegation, the Italian right-back left, along with Thuram, to FC Barcelona. In his stage as 'Juventino' he played 298 games (Club where he has played more games in his career).

Following successes in the Netherlands in which he won two LIgas, a Cup and a Super Cup, Juventus paid 19 million in 2004 to get the Swedish striker. In Juventos he got two 'Scudettos' in the 2004/05 and 2005/06 seasons. Like Thuram and Zambrotta, he left the Italian team after the scandal known as 'Calciopoli'. After his time at Juventus, he ended up at Inter Milan. As a Juventus player, he managed to score 26 goals in 92 games.

After passing through Inter de Mián, the Malmö-born striker became the most expensive signing in the history of Barcelona at that time. His career as a Blaugrana was marked by his differences with Pep Guardiola and by the absence of prominence due to Messi's long wake. As a Barcelona player, he won the 2009 Club World Cup. He scored 22 goals in 46 games as a Barça player.

He jumped from Uruguay to Spain signing for Villarreal for two million euros. That same year he played on loan at Recreativo de Huelva where he had a great season (UEFA included him in the revelation team of the season). In 2008, Barcelona paid 6.5 million euros to Villarreal to snatch it from them. In the 2009 season he got a hat-trick with the Barça club, but despite the collective successes the Uruguayan defender did not enjoy many minutes. In total he played 23 games.

Martin Cáceres

Martín Cáceres was a member of the Juventes ranks on two occasions. The first of them came to the Italian club with a loan from the Catalan club with a purchase option of 11 million. This option was not exercised by Juventus. After a stint at Sevilla, the Uruguayan defender returned to the Italian club in 2012 and, again, through a loan. That same year he got a 'Scudetto' with the Turin team. Finally Juventus used the purchase option and signed Cáceres for four years until June 30, 2016. In his first stage as a Juventus player he played 21 games. On his return, he spent 5 seasons wearing the black and white jersey in which he managed to score 6 goals in 88 games.
