Pirelli will debut its C5 compound in Albert Park

MADRID, 4 Apr. (SportsFinding) –

‘Pirelli’ announced on Monday the tires that it will take to the Australian Grand Prix, the third round of the Formula World Championship that takes place this coming Sunday at the Albert Park track and that will mark the premiere of the C5 compound.

The Italian manufacturer has opted on this occasion “with a greater gap than usual between the medium and soft options” and thus the pilots will have in Melbourne the C2 as P Zero White (hard), the C3 as P Zero Yellow (medium) and the C5 as P Zero Red instead of the C4 as a softer proposition.

In this sense, the World Cup tire supplier recalled that in the last race held at Albert Park, in 2019, the single-seaters on the grid competed with C2, C3 and C4 tyres.
