Pierriá Henry returns to Baskonia

MADRID, 24 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Cazoo Baskonia announced this Sunday night the hiring of the American point guard Pierriá Henry, who returns to Vitoria after a year at Fenerbahce.

“Pierria Henry (Charleston, West Virginia, 1993) wears the Barça shirt again. The American player and the Vitorian entity have reached an agreement for the incorporation of the game director until the end of the current season. Henry, one of the most charismatic players of the last Baskonia era, returns home and completes the Cazoo Baskonia squad”, says the Endesa League team in an official statement.

“The new Barça game director, with a Senegalese passport, puts the icing on the cake for Joan Peñarroya’s squad and will land in the Basque capital in the next few hours,” he adds, on a night in which the Basque team won (88-82) against Real Madrid on matchday five of the Endesa League held at the Fernando Buesa Arena.

Henry left last year for Turkey after two years at Baskonia in which he accumulated 126 games. At Fenerbahce he averaged 7.8 points, 4.1 assists and 9.6 PIRs in the Euroleague. In addition, Pierriá won the domestic league with the Turkish team.
