Midfielder José Luis García Vayà, known in football as Pepelu, will play for Valencia CF for the next five seasons, until 2028, the Valencian entity confirmed this Saturday, which has reached an agreement with Levante UD for his transfer.
In this way, Valencia will pay the granota club five million euros for the signing of the Alicante midfielder, who will now have a termination clause of 100 million.
Pepelu, 24, has already played 92 games in the highest categories of European football, both in the Portuguese Primeira and in LaLiga. He was trained in the Levante youth academy and made his debut with the first team in December 2015, in a Copa del Rey match against Espanyol.
In the 2017-18 season, he played on loan at Hércules, and the following season he was included in the Levante first team. Subsequently, he completed two other assignments in Portuguese teams, Tondela and Vitória de Guimaraes.
International in all the lower categories of the Spanish team, the Denia footballer will join “immediately” the preseason of the team led by Rubén Baraja.
