Málaga has found its game pattern and the results of Sergio Pellicer. The club opted for the branch's coach after the controversial departure of Víctor Sánchez del Amo and after two months of competition the numbers support the decision taken by the entity. Manolo Gaspar gave his confidence to Pellicer and, despite the fact that Al Thani and Shaheen refused to ratify him, waiting to find a more 'media' technician in the market, the arrival of the judicial administrator, who today is one month in charge of the management of the club, brought with it the ratification of the bet of the sports director.
Under Pellicer's baton, Málaga have scored 15 points in nine games, a very good average that has allowed him to climb some position in the table, increase the mattress with the drop positions, currently at three points, and that makes it the sixth best team in the Second Division in these two months. If the League had started when Pellicer assumed command, Málaga would occupy a promotion playoff position today.
In these nine meetings only Zaragoza (19 points), Tenerife (17), Deportivo (17), Sporting de Gijón (16) and Girona (16) have added more than the Blue and Whites. The Castellón coach made his debut at the head of Málaga on January 14 against Ponferradina with a victory (1-0). Since then, three other victories (against Numancia, Cádiz and Racing de Santander), three draws (Fuenlabrada, Mirandés and Las Palmas) and two defeats (Elche and Zaragoza).
