Pedro Sánchez: “The 2030 World Cup will serve to highlight the wonders of our country once again”

MADRID, 11 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, stressed this Wednesday that the official award to Spain, Portugal and Morocco of the 2030 Men’s Football World Cup, by FIFA, “will serve to highlight the wonders” of the national territory “once again.”

“We are going to celebrate an event that I believe is going to be historic, that is going to serve to highlight the wonders of our country once again and, once again, our football,” commented Sánchez during the XIX COE Gala held in Madrid.

In the Goyeneche Auditorium, the president of the Executive led the institutional representation together with the president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach; the president of the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE), Alejandro Blanco; the Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, Pilar Alegría; and the president of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes.
