The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, celebrated a Sunday full of sporting successes after the Spanish men’s water polo team became world champions and the women’s futsal team became European champions.
In several messages written on his Twitter profile, Sánchez celebrated the victory of the Spanish driver Carlos Sainz this Sunday after finishing first in Formula 1.
Next, he highlighted the “effort” and “resistance” of the men’s water polo team that was proclaimed world champion this Sunday for the third time in its history in the final of the 2022 Budapest World Cup, by beating Italy on penalties ( 9-9 (6-5)).
“World Champions! With the victory of @SpainWP, Spanish water polo makes history again. They have achieved it by fighting until the last moment, without giving up, always believing in victory. What a great example of effort and resistance. Congratulations!” , Sánchez wrote on Twitter.
