Celta is constantly probing the market in search of good solutions for its squad and in anticipation of losses next summer. The area of the center of the field is especially sensitive. Renato Tapia ends contract in 2024 and it is already entering that area of the last 24 months in which it is necessary to start making decisions, because as time progresses it will have worse sales. And he is one of the few players in the squad with a good market. More delicate is the situation of Fran Beltrán, who next summer enters his last year of contract (sale or free departure).
As AS has learned, Celta has on their agenda a young (23 years old) and promising Portuguese, Pedro Ferreira, currently the Danish Alborg’s Casemiro. Ferreira, out of the Sporting de Portugal academy, came to the Danish league a season and a half ago after a loan to Varzim. Since his signing for Alborg he has not stopped growing. Last season he was chosen in the ideal eleven of that championship and last summer he was about to be transferred to French Bordeaux, but there was no financial agreement.
Pedro Ferreira has a contract with Alborg until 2023 and the estimate is that he can leave there for a price of around two million euros. Physically strong, he can play six and eight. So far this season he is the Danish LaLiga player who leads the statistics of defensive duels won. Although he does not usually lavish against the opposing goal, he has also scored two goals. Alborg will play this year in the playoff for the title.
