MADRID, 6 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish tennis player Paula Badosa has risen one position to number three in the WTA ranking, which continues to be led by the Polish Iga Swiatek after her victory at Roland Garros, the second ‘Grand Slam’ of the season.
The Catalan had to leave her third-round match of the Parisian ‘big’ against the Russian Veronika Kudermetova injured, but even so, despite losing 300 points, she manages to climb to the third step (4,245) after falling two places to the fifth of the Greek Maria Sakkari.
Swiatek, with her final victory in Paris, continues to clearly dominate (8,631) ahead of the new number two, Estonian Annet Kontaveit (4,326). Garbiñe Muguruza (3,060), for her part, continues to close the ‘Top 10’.
Sara Sorribes, from Castellón, also continues in the same place, at number 39, while Nuria Párrizas, from Granada, drops six positions to 51.
