Pau Torrent begins to move his legs after his very serious accident in the Clásica de Valladolid

MADRID, 18 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish cyclist Pau Torrent, from the Zamora Enamora team, has shown “a favorable response” to the drop in medication that was applied to him this Tuesday in the ICU of the Río Ortega University Hospital in Valladolid, after his very serious accident on April 16 during the XII Classic Valladolid-Memorial Ángel Lozano and Jesús Nieto.

“We have received the good news that they have been able to lower his medication and he has shown a favorable response. Pau has been conscious and has begun to move his legs,” the Zamora Enamora team stated in a press release.

“Even with this, we must be cautious, and the doctors have indicated that we will have to wait several days to know the scope of the consequences of his different traumatisms. Now the important thing is, only and exclusively, to be at Pau’s side, who is fighting like a titan, and his family, so that he can win this race”, added Zamora Enamora.

“Both his family, and all of us who make up the structure of the Zamora Enamora Cycling Team, want to thank all the medical services that have made it possible for Pau’s heart to continue beating, from the doctors who treated him in the race itself, to the specialists who carried out the crucial intervention on Sunday at the hospital and who continue to care for him at this time,” the note underlined.
