The Spanish tennis player Jaume Munar has qualified for the round of 16 of the tournament in Córdoba (Argentina), ATP 250 category and played on clay, after overcoming this morning Al Francés Benoit Paire (6-4, 7-5).
The Balearic, number 88 in the world, had to overcome the 4-1 with which the French tennis player, 54th racket on the ATP circuit, came forward in the first set. Thus, he linked five games won to win the initial partial in almost an hour of play.
Later, Munar had to turn around the same disadvantage (4-1) in the second round. Paire, at 5-2, could have pocketed the set from the rest, but the Spanish reacted to endorse him two new breaks that allowed him to win the contest.
Now, will face in the round of 16 the winner of the duel between the Colombian Daniel Elahi Galán and the Bolivian Hugo Dellien, numbers 127 and 109 in the ATP ranking respectively.
“A Shitty Match”
At the conclusion of the match, Paire himself made a rather emphatic reflection on his defeat against Munar on his Instagram account with a photo of him during a break and the comment “A fucking game!!” who wrote in French.
Before this defeat and this new controversy of the Frenchman, Paire seemed that he was rediscovering his best tennis after a great performance at the Australian Open, where he beat Thiago Monteiro in five sets and where he surprised Grigor Dimitrov in the second round before losing in the third round to Stefanos Tsitsipas, against whom he stood up before falling in four sets.
