Femenías saved his team at game time, after a corner kick by Trejo that Catena headed in the small area, and a few minutes later a powerful shot from Fran García touched a powerful shot that ended up crashing against a post and came out bounced away from the area.

Despite being dominated by Rayo, Ziganda's team had their best chance in a counter, in which Sangalli and Viti on the right combined to assist Obeng in the area, but the Ghanaian failed to finish off a ball that he also did not block. Dimitrievski and paced the goal.

Both Oviedo, with their difficulty in reaching the goal and shooting, and Rayo, without ideas in the last leg of the game, ended up accepting the draw.
