Overbooking in the extreme

Lucas Ocampos and Suso are indisputable at the extremes of Sevilla this season but they seem quite alone in that position, which Munir or En Nesyri also tend to occupy on some occasions even without being specialists. Lopetegui also regularly shoots Papu Gómez or Óscar Rodríguez, more interiors or midfielders, although for the next campaign news awaits in those positions.

Pending what happens with Ocampos, for which there have been offers previously, Monchi will not reinforce the offensive lanes unless he finds a market opportunity. And it is that the 2021-22 aims to start with overbooking on the wings. Up to three players are on loan to Sevilla in those positions: Bryan Gil, Oussama Idrissi and Rony Lopes. Although at the moment only the Barbateño has a fixed place in the next squad if a dizzying offer does not end up turning it into a big sale.

Bryan has left in Ipurua despite the bad moment of Eibar, bottom, and even debuted with the Spanish senior team. At 20 years old and with a clause of 50 million, Sevilla wants to improve and extend a contract that now expires in 2023, with what would be two seasons of bonding from next summer.

Idrissi has been on loan at Ajax Amsterdam since the last day of January. The 25-year-old Dutch-Moroccan was one of Monchi's great hopes last summer and AZ was paid about 12 million. Oussama arrived at Nervión injured and Lopetegui was slow to pull him, although when he finally did, he did not justify his minutes. With two assists as a sevillista he returned to Holland, but in Amsterdam he has barely appeared in four league games, six in the Europa League and one in the Dutch Cup, all of them as a substitute. And he has not contributed decisive goals or passes.

In Sevilla they also remain pending another loan, Rony Lopes. In Nervión they already know that Nice will not pay the 20 million purchase option agreed by the Portuguese. They won't even come close to that number. Rony, 25, has appeared in 28 games for the Côte d'Azur club, scoring four goals and giving two assists.
