Olympique de Marseille is an escape route for Rony Lopes

The chances of Rony Lopes continuing at Sevilla next season are rather slim and his return to France, from where he arrived in Nervión last summer, it is a real possibility. And is that Olympique de Marseille has been interested in the Portuguese attacker, for whom Sevilla disbursed almost 25 million euros in the operation that ended Ben Yedder in Monaco and Rony at Sánchez Pizjuán. As pointed out from France, the contacts between the Marseille club and the still Sevilla player have already taken place.

Rony Lopes' performance at Sevilla has been more than disappointing. The player was out of shape and it took him a world to get in tune, which meant that the opportunities that Lopetegui offered him have been scarce. On the other hand, the player has also not earned having much more prominence in the little more than 600 minutes he has played spread over 12 games.

Relations between Sevilla and Olympique de Marseille are more than smooth and the best example is the speed with which the arrival to Nervión of Lucas Ocampos in the summer market was closed. Now, Monchi has asked again about Maxime López, who has been interested in the Seville entity for several summers and could be curious that Rony Lopes' best service was to serve as a key to unlock said operation.
