What has been sensed for a few days has materialized this Monday: the Celta Vigo has dismissed Òscar García Junyent. After a first advance by the Faro de Vigo, the club has already made it official. The cause would be the streak of seven games without winning and his confrontation with the general director of the club, Antonio Chaves.
In the next few hours the club will announce who should be his substitute. The Celtinian leadership, after days of meditating, has already made the decision. “Óscar García Junyent and his coaching staff will no longer be in charge of the RC Celta bench. The club expresses its most sincere gratitude, both to the Catalan coach and to his collaborators, for their work, professionalism and effort shown during their time at RC Celta, in which they managed to certify their permanence in a complicated 2019/20 season ”.
It is the third consecutive season in which Celta dismissed a coach during the championship, after the departures of Antonio Mohamed and Miguel Cardoso in the 2019-20 championship and that of Fran Escribá in the next.
