Nottingham Forest returns to the Premier after 23 years

MADRID, 29 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Nottingham Forest achieved promotion to the Premier League this Sunday after their narrow victory (0-1) against Huddersfield Town, in the final play-off for promotion at Wembley.

Forest returned to the English top flight after a 23-year wait, turning around a season that began with six defeats in seven games. Levi Colwill’s own goal just before half-time was the decisive moment.

Town did not have criteria above despite looking for their options and dominance in the second half. Steve Cooper managed the historic campaign for the two-time European champion from September, taking over from Chris Hughton on the bench.
