Nine professionals from the RFEDI will form part of the COE Commissions in the next Olympic cycle

Nine professionals from the Royal Spanish Federation of Winter Sports (RFEDI) have been appointed by the Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) to form different commissions of the organization in the next Olympic cycle, a figure that practically doubles the five that were in the previous period, from 2017 to 2021.

In total, the COE has received more than 100 applications from a total of 28 Spanish federations to be part of the Work Commissions of the Olympic entity, and has selected the members according to the places available in each commission.

The candidates proposed by the RFEDI and validated by the COE are Lucía Hoyo, Paula Fernández-Ochoa, Cristina Penche, Olmo Hernán, Toti Rosselló, Juli Sala, Javier Ocaña, Enrique Moreno de la Santa and Jesús Pérez.

Lucía Hoyo, at the RFEDI for 28 years and who is part of the Administration Department of the Federation, has been elected to the Distinctions and Protocol Commission. Meanwhile, the specialist in legal marketing and personal branding in highly competitive environments, Paula Fernández-Ochoa, is in charge of the RFEDI’s Women and Snow program and is part of the entity’s Board of Directors, and has been elected to the Women and Gender Equality of the COE.

In addition, the lawyer and vice president of the RFEDI, Cristina Penche, was elected to the Sustainability and Environment Commission; the General and Sports Director of the federation, Olmo Hernán, will be on the High Competition Commission, and the journalist Toti Rosselló, who has covered the Olympic Games in Vancouver 2010, Sochi 2014, PyeongChang 2018 and Lekín 2022, will be part of the Commission Communication.

The sports technician Juli Sala, currently responsible for the RFEDI in the Sports Development Area, was elected to the Sports for All and the Future of Sports Commission, and Javier Ocaña, responsible for the Spanish Ski School (EEE), will be on the Commission Training, Studies and Publications.

Enrique Moreno de la Santa, legal adviser to the RFEDI and sole judge of the federation, was elected to the Committee on Legal and Corporate Social Responsibility, and Jesús Pérez, physical trainer for the RFEDI for seven years, to the Committee on Nutrition and Healthy habits in sport.
