MADRID, 7 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The multinational sports equipment company Nike has launched the Ultrafly Trail shoes, a model designed to offer athletes a fast and grippy trail running experience, developed in collaboration with its Nike Trail ambassadors and which is the first collaboration with Vibram. .
In a first for Nike Trail, the Ultrafly features a carbon Flyplate sandwiched between ZoomX foam and a textile-wrapped midsole. Additionally, they are the first product in a new collaboration between Nike and Vibram, bringing Vibram technology and unique sole design to Nike’s trail shoe offering.
Inspired by a passion to meet the needs of all runners, Nike Running designers have created the Nike Ultrafly Trail after more than two years of testing and development with elite Nike Trail athletes.
Ultrafly has been specifically created to meet the needs of trail runners who want to compete and hit the trails at a fast pace.
Nike Trail athlete Tyler Green was commissioned to design with the Nike team and test this innovation. He covered more than 1,000 miles in the shoes during his training and competed three consecutive times, placing in the top five, in the prestigious 100-mile Western States Endurance Run.
“I’ve put the shoe through its paces on rocky terrain, tough climbs, fast descents, and tough workouts. It’s exciting to see how my perspective and feedback directly influence a product that will help all runners pursue their goals on the trail,” he explained. Green.
Recognizing athletes’ need for exceptional grip and traction on rough terrain, Nike and Vibram designers joined forces to incorporate their expertise into an entirely new sole design unique to the Ultrafly.
The Ultrafly’s outsole incorporates Vibram’s Litebase technology, offering trail runners a proprietary lightweight and agile outsole design with Vibram Traction Lug technology and Vibram MegaGrip compound.
Also, in a first for Nike Trail, the Ultrafly features a carbon Flyplate, nestled between ZoomX foam and a textile-wrapped midsole.
A Vaporweave upper combined with the classic construction of the collar, buttress and fit system ensure lightweight comfort and reliability for miles of trail running.
This shoe is the first of Nike Trail’s novelties, and will go on sale in limited quantities in Europe from July 27. They will then be available to all runners starting in August on the Nike website and in select specialty stores around the world.
